Hum....tooth...?

I never knew dogs change their teeth just like we do....Rusty was changing teeth all the way up until 1 year old before he's changed everything...
Did everybody's doxies also changed their teeth?...did you guys recover any of the teeth?
Rusty when he was changing his front teeth...

The last two teeth that he lost..

The teeth from the previous picture was situated right behind his canine... vet told me when he was 6 months old that he needed surgery to take them out....guess not for my Rusty.. :D

The other side also lost that baby teeth...

Do you guys brush your doxies teeth frequently? I brush him almost everyday but there are still 'stains' at the top of his teeth, near the gums..
Is it true they need to get their teeth cleaned at the vet regularly?
I hate dentists... I know Rusty won't like it either... :(

Guest for the weekend...

This past weekend, we had a guest over, mom was dog-sitting a friend's mix-Poodle, Amanda.
She was a lot of fun! Although because she was abused before, she was a bit nervous but I helped her ease into our family very very quickly.
She loves food as much as I do, I always have to watch my treat otherwise, she always steals it!

She even copied my sitting trick to beg for treat! I was getting jealous towards the end that mom doesn't give me 100% attention anymore!

But in the end we made peace....

But she left on sunday...now I am bored...AGAIN....

How did Rusty became a member of the family...

I adopted Rusty when he was about 3 months old from someone who had too many dogs in which one was pregnant and had cats, snakes in the same household!
When I decided to go visit him, I wasn't planning on taking him home at all because I had just lost my previous dog due to some disease. I was sad, so to cheer me up, my boyfriend decided to take me to visit this so-called 'teckel'... I have never had a teckel/dachshund/sausage dog before, all i know is that they are short yet long and SUPER NOISY...
When I walked in the door, this little brown thing ran towards me and wags his tail so hard it seems like it'll fall off! He was super friendly, super loving, and OMG-ly CUTE!
So we decided, he's coming home with us!

He's a smooth red-hair standard Dachshund.
Here's some baby pic of my baby, Rusty:

Hello Everybody!

Hello everybody,
My name is Rusty but my mom just calls me 'Doggie' all the time...

My mom decided to make a diary for me since I do too many stupid things that make her laugh everyday.
She thought it'd be funny to share my awesome-ness with the world...
So here goes!!
hope everybody will come visit me often...
